Sell My Car

Enter your registration number to receive cash offers for your car

With Auction prices for cars hitting highs and demand for used vehicles looking set to continue to rise, Car Arena is providing a great alternative to the normal Car Auction Sites. Members of the public are able list their cars on Car Arena, free of charge thus ensuring there’s always a high volume of cars available to purchase.

Each day almost 300 cars are listed for sale on Car Arena from all areas of the UK. Dealers using the Car Arena system can make offers on these cars and follow up offers directly with the sellers to conclude any deal and arrange collection/delivery and payment.

It was important Car Arena didn’t become strictly an auction site, members of the public still like the direct contact when selling something as valuable to them as their car. It may be that it isn’t even the highest offer that secures the car. Talking to the customer about the process, finding out more about the car, discussing how the car will be paid for and collected is sometimes more important and reassuring then the highest offer alone.

As well as being able to look at the public vehicles listed on Car Arena, it also provides a great opportunity to list trade vehicles for sale. Many dealers on the Car Arena site are keen to buy from fellow traders and this side of the site looks set to grow over the coming months.

If you are a member of the public wanting to sell your car quickly to one of our registered motor dealers or traders please enter your vehicle registration number in the form above.

If you are a Motor Dealer or Professional Motor Trader and would like more information on Car Arena please complete our registration form and we will be in touch very soon.

Should you or shouldn’t you sell your car in 2011?

For many people 2011 is going to be a very tight year financially. At every turn there seems to be more bad news coming to the surface, it is almost a case of one step forward and two steps back. Any progress that was being made was abruptly halted by the extreme weather conditions we experienced in December 2010 contributing to the worse than expected figures for the economy in the last quarter of 2010. All this ON top of the VAT increase, the fuel duty increase (another on the way in April), the rising cost of oil (and Gas – linked to oil), the government spending cuts and rising inflation…I’m no economist but just reading those headlines paints a pretty bleak picture and in no way encourages consumers to start spending again. Especially as many experts (I guess with healthy bank balances) are calling for an increase in interest rates to help combat rising inflation.

It looks like a pretty vicious circle to me, all the increases the government have put in place actually contribute substantially to the rising inflation figures. Then if the BoE do raise interest rates the poor old consumer that has no choice but to spend money on the higher utility bills, fuel costs and food costs is hit with another double whammy of then having to pay higher mortgage costs, leaving very little for anything else. What suffers then?

Simple…DIY spending is cut back, that new car is put on hold, the holidays are put off…again…Mum and Dad go without any new clothes…again, need I go on?

Should we let the merchants of doom and gloom spoil our optimism, by letting it become a self fulfilling prophecy. Or should we, say to hell with it and lets start spending what little we have to try and get this country off its backside, up on to its knees and eventually standing back on its own two feet again.

I know which side of the fence I’m going to step down in to…the spending side! Too many people seem content to sit back and whinge about everything but do nothing about it.

One industry that seems to have borne the brunt of the economic woes is the Used Car Industry. This sector wasn’t helped one bit by the scrappage scheme (that actually made matters worse for used car traders). Now due to the stuttering new cars sales figures the used car market  is running very low on affordable stock. There are few part exchange cars coming through the networks and cars at auction are fetching a premium, monthly prices tend to be rising and look set to continue for the first quarter at least. If you are considering changing your car, now could be a great time to do it. A great price for your current cars will never be closer and dealers are still keen to do a deal on stock they are selling.

Because so many dealers are now looking for new stock, using Car Arena to sell you car will generate great interest from genuine buyers. With multiple offers to choose from you can select the best deal for yourself and negotiate directly with the buyers on the final price, delivery or collection methods and how they pay you.

So if you are serious about selling your car, try Car Arena today, it’s free of charge and you could have your car sold within 24 hours.
